Kathleen Moren

Kathleen Moren, RN, BSN, IBCLC, is the founder and president of Healthy Babies, Happy Moms Inc., which she established in 1999 as a pioneering provider of lactation and newborn care services.

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 1995, Kathleen has supported thousands of families in reaching their breastfeeding goals. Her innovative approach bridges care across hospital, home, and corporate settings—creating comprehensive lactation programs that meet families where they are.

Her work has been published in respected medical journals, including the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Journal and the Journal of the Rhode Island Medical Society, and she has contributed to national initiatives promoting breastfeeding in the workplace.

Kathleen holds leadership roles in several statewide health organizations, including the Rhode Island Partnership for Home Care, where she serves on the Board and Executive Committee.

Healthy Babies, Happy Moms Inc. has been awarded the following grants:

  • $5400 from the Governor's Workforce Board in 2013 for various RN and staff training

  • $3000 from the Governor’s Workforce Board in 2010 for website renovation and employee technical education

  • $5000 from Medela Inc. for staff education and development of charitable programs

  • $10,000 yearly from the Initiative for Healthy Weight with the Rhode Island Breastfeeding Coalition to distribute the DHHS Business Case for Breastfeeding Toolkit to RI Employers
