Cancellation, Return, and Exchange Policies
Cancellations
Orders
Orders may be cancelled or amended at a $25 charge before the product is authorized to ship. Any order changes will be subject to availability and appropriate charges to cover the difference in product costs. Once an order has been authorized to ship, return and exchange policies will apply. Appointment/Classes
There is a $50 fee for any appointment that is missed or cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. An appointment is considered missed after 15 minutes from the appointment start time. Cancellations can be taken on nights, weekends, and holidays by the on-call staff/answering service. Simply call our office number (401-884-8273) and follow the prompts. Please reach out to our office with any questions.
Consult Programs (Sleep / Parenting Preschoolers)
Refunds for cancelled Sleep or Parenting Preschoolers Consults can be issued before the initial appointment, subject to the fees below.
Processing Fee $50
Late Cancellation / Missed Appointment (less than 24 hours' notice from any scheduled appointment) $50
No refund will be issued after the initial appointment.
Product Issues
Non-Pumps

Pumps
If you have questions about pump use, if you are using it correctly, or if it is set up in an ideal manner, please reach out to the office to set up a lactation consult with one of our RN/IBCLCs. If you are having equipment issues, please reach out to the manufacturer’s customer service.

Exchanges and Returns
All product exchanges and returns must be approved by HBHM before returning products. Returning products without prior approval may result in the non-processing of the exchange or return.
Breast pumps and most accessories are personal hygiene products, and can only be returned or exchanged under the following conditions:
1. The manufacturing seal is unbroken (usually a sticker on the box) AND
2. It has been less than 30 days since your order shipped.
Exchanges
A non-refundable $25 fee is required for all exchanges; this includes the shipping and processing costs of sending the new pump and restocking costs. The shipping costs of returning the original pump are the patient’s responsibility, but can be processed through HBHM upon request.
This fee must be paid before the exchange is processed. The returning pump must be received before the new pump is shipped.
If a pump is returned with a broken seal, you will be charged an additional $25, the original pump will be shipped back to you, and the order for the replacement pump will be cancelled.
Returns
You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged during delivery, or we processed your order incorrectly.
There is a $50 restocking fee to cover processing the order, any claims, and transaction fees. This fee must be paid in advance if you have not already paid at least $50 towards the item.
If a claim for the item has been processed, we will submit a reversal or payment request with your insurance. If you have paid more than the $50 restocking fee, you will be refunded less the restocking fee.
Cancellation, Exchange, and Refund fees charged by HBHM are to cover applicable order processing, scheduling, claims processing, shipping, and restocking, as well as transaction fees.
*HBHM reserves the sole right to change, modify, amend, or repeal these policies, in whole or part, at any time without prior notice.
