Kathleen Moren, RN BSN IBCLC, Founder, CEO and Administrator

Kathleen Moren is a graduate of Marquette University’s Nursing School and became an IBCLC in 1995. She has enjoyed a 25-year career that has included work in the Neonatal ICU, home healthcare, and the corporate setting.  She founded Healthy Babies, Happy Moms Inc. in 1999 to help mothers achieve success in their breastfeeding goals by providing them with the information and support they need to confidently breastfeed and care for their children.

Ms. Moren is passionate about making sure access to breastfeeding support is available to all who need it. She has worked as a member of the Physicians Committee for Breastfeeding in Rhode Island (PCBRI) and the Rhode Island Breastfeeding Coalition (RIBC) to help ensure that access for all mothers in Rhode Island.  She served a two year term as Chair of RIBC and has been the Workplace Initiative Co-Leader for the last 3 years. In this role she manages the distribution of the Business Case for Breastfeeding Toolkit in RI and the Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace Awards. Most recently she is the RI coordinator for the project:  National Worksite Breastfeeding Support for Employers of Overtime Eligible Employees: Innovative Strategies for Success.  Kathleen is a contributor to the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Statement: Breastfeeding Support for Working Mothers, which will be published in the ABM Journal in August of 2012.  She recently published “State-Wide Support for Physician-Mothers Who Are Breastfeeding,” in the Journal of the Rhode Island Medical Society, which was a collaboration with some wonderfuls MDs from the group MomDocFamily.

Most importantly, Kathy has been happily married to Mike Moren for over 20 years and is the mother of four terrific sons.  She enjoys the beach, running, reading and just hanging with her guys.

Dee Egglin, RN MPH CLC

Dee is a registered nurse and a certified lactation counselor. She has experience in surgical nursing and home health care with a special interest in outpatient public health programs. Dee is the mother of four sons, including twins, and based on her experience nursing all of them, she has become a passionate advocate for breastfeeding. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, gardening and reading.

Kathy Ross, RN MHS IBCLC, Director of Nursing

Healthy Babies, Happy Moms Inc. has allowed Kathy to pursue her passion of working with mothers and babies. Nothing is more satisfying to her than seeing a healthy baby with a happy mother successfully bonding and breastfeeding. She has been fortunate in her life to have had rewarding work experiences as a pediatric nurse, researcher, administrator and lactation consultant. She is also grateful for a wonderful family. Her relationships with her husband and three sons are her proudest accomplishment. Teenagers can be a challenge, but are mostly a delight. Besides taking care of her family and working, her hours are filled with gardening, swimming, reading and watercolor painting.

MaryBeth Neumann, RN MSN IBCLC, Director of Community Initiatives

MaryBeth is a registered nurse and a board certified lactation consultant. She has cared for people of all ages, but most of her experience is in pediatrics. She especially enjoys working with families, providing breast-feeding mothers with the support and resources they need to realize this most special bond. She is married, and the mother of two teenage daughters. When her children were younger, she spent countless hours volunteering at their schools and in her community. She also volunteers weekly at her church. Her favorite hobby is running, but she also enjoys kayaking, hiking, and spending a beautiful summer day at the beach.

Mary Beth Waggoner, Office Manager

Mary Beth had been a stay-at-home mom for 14 years when she began working for HBHM Inc. as the Office Manager in November of 2009. During those years she volunteered in all aspects of her four children’s lives, enjoying every moment of it! She also has a very supportive husband and extremely high maintenance (but loveable) Chocolate Lab. Her work experience has been in customer service, international shipping and sales/commission forecasting. She is excited to be working with such caring and professional women. In her spare time she enjoys scrap-booking, gardening, physical fitness and spending time with loved ones.
