Capabilities Statement
Healthy Babies, Happy Moms Inc. was founded in 1999 by a Registered Nurse with experience in neonatal intensive care, home healthcare, and the corporate consulting field. In the 12 years that we have been in business, we have served over 2500 families by providing them with the following excellent service and products:
- Corporate Lactation Programs
- Lactation Consults in the Clients Home or Our Office
- Breast Pump Rentals for Medical Necessity
- Retail Sales of Quality Breastfeeding Products
- Educational Classes for New Mothers
We are looking to expand our business by establishing contracts with insurers as a provider of breast pumps for medical necessity and home health nursing services. We are also seeking employers that need assistance developing and administering corporate lactation programs as they look to comply with Section 4207 of the Affordable Care Act.

- Administrator of the RI Department of Health WIC Pump Program
- Staffed with Registered Nurses who are certified as International Board Certified Lactation Consultants
- Funded by the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation

- RI Birth Network’s 2009-2010 Award for Extraordinary Service
- Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
- Crème De La Crème Award from the Rhode Island Breastfeeding Coalition
Grants Received:
- $3000 from the Governor’s Workforce Board for website renovation and employee technical education
- $5000 from Medela Inc. for staff education and development of charitable programs
- $10,000 yearly from the Initiative for Healthy Weight with the Rhode Island Breastfeeding Coalition to distribute the DHHS Business Case for Breastfeeding Toolkit to RI Employers
